Bálint Preiszner

Bálint PreisznerCurrent position:
BLI Fish and Benthos Research Group

I graduated as a Biology and Geography teacher at the Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest. My graduation work involved conservation ecology of Passerine birds, mainly focused on the effects of habitat fragmentation. After a little bit of teaching career I returned to the field of research in avian biology and joined the research group as a PhD student. My present day’s leading research interest includes animal cognition and social behaviour. I also conduct a research on the migration of European Common Terns (Sterna hirundo). Besides I’m involved in basic ecology research as an active bird ringer in a couple of ringing schemes.
