I obtained my BSc and MSc from ecology at the Babeș–Bolyai University from Kolozsvár. Currently I am a PhD student at the University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine also from Kolozsvár where with my work I aimed to broaden our knowledge about the ecology and vector potential of the bat ectoparasites.
During my former research works I had the luck to work with mayflies (I studied the geographic distribution of some endemic species in Romania) then I shifted to parasitology and worked with ticks. For my dissertation work I determined the prevalence of three groups of photogenes (Rickettsia, Anaplasma, Babesia) in ticks collected from rodents.
Here, at the Ornithology Research Group I plan to develop my research related abilities and to enrich my experiences in birding and in the ecology of birds.
